Information

The Venue

We encourage you to have a wander and explore the Bowes Museum and grounds. Your entrance to the museum is included as our guest and there will be a Vivienne Westwood exhibition on the first floor. Please be at the drinks reception, on the second floor, for the arrival of the bride and groom. Please keep drinks on the second floor only and note that the museum is open to the public until 5pm.

The Céilí

A céilí is a traditional Irish group dance. Don't worry if you don't know the moves, a "caller" will be there to teach everyone the steps! It's great fun, so please bring sensible shoes to dance the night away.

Dress Code

Cocktail. Colourful clothing encouraged; please avoid all white or black.

Gifting

No gifts are necessary, we appreciate people travelling and being with us to celebrate. Should you wish to give something, we would appreciate a donation to our honeymoon to New Zealand.

Parking and Access

Free parking is available at the Bowes Museum. A lift is available to move between floors.

Additional information about the day:

  • We will both be keeping our respective family names.
  • While we love your little ones, our wedding will be a child-free event (with the exception of our nephew Arthur).
